Breakfast & After School Club

We are delighted to be able to offer a Breakfast Club and After School Club at Oxford Road Community School. 

Aims

➢ To provide childcare before and after school

➢ To promote healthy eating and wellbeing

➢ To provide a caring environment for children at the start and end of the school day

➢ To provide a range of activities to meet the needs of the children in our care at the start    

      and end of the school day

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast club runs every morning in the main school building from 8.00am until 8.40am. The cost of the club is £3.50 per session. The children are provided with a selection of breakfast foods. There are also a range of activities and games on offer.

After School Club

After School club runs every day throughout the term with a range of games and activities provided. The club is run by school staff members that the children are already familiar with. 

Sessions cost £10.00 per session with a reduced rate of £8.50 for siblings. The club runs from 3.15pm until 5:30pm.

Booking process

If you wish to enquire about a place for your child to attend Breakfast Club or After School Club, please complete a registration form. This is required for both contract or ad-hoc bookings. 

Submitting a Booking Request does not guarantee a place. School will confirm availability with the parents once they have received the booking request. Once confirmed the contract will be binding and ongoing until notice to terminate the contract has been received or given.

Childcare Choices

1. Tax Free Childcare

  • For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK
  • Earning under £100k and an average of £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each over three months
  • Who aren't receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers
  • With children aged 0-11 (or 0-16 if disabled)
  • For every £8 you pay into an online account, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year

     

    Am I eligible?
    You, and any partner, must be over 16 and each expect to earn an average of £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) over three months.

2. Universal Credit for childcare

  • For working families claiming Universal Credit, in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales
  • With children under 17*
  • Up to 85% of eligible childcare costs
  • Who aren't receiving Tax-Free Childcare 

     

    Am I eligible?                                                                                                                                                            You, and any partner, must be working, or you’re due to start work, and are claiming Universal Credit.

    Whether you can claim will depend on your personal circumstances.

Childcare Vouchers

We currently accept vouchers from Computershare, Edenred, Fideliti, Childcareplus, KiddiVouchers, Enjoy Benefits and Care-4. Please use your child’s / children’s name(s) as a reference when you set up payments via childcare vouchers.  If you wish to use another organisation that provides childcare vouchers just let us know so we can open an account with them.  You will need the school’s unique Ofsted number 109786 to register with the organisation providing your childcare vouchers.
